To produce an online monthly paper initially that will be about Trinidad- where we came from, where we are now and where we are going. It will be non-partisan and unbiased. It will not represent (or attack) any race, region or religion. Any criticism and claims will be far and supported by evidence. It will not be “heavy” reading. However, as the name makes clear, it will be about MY TRINIDAD from the perspectives of its contributors, all people whose navel-strings are buried here and who, regardless of where they are now, care about what happened, happens and will be happening to our country. This is not about politics but about identity. While the word “patriot” comes to mind, MY TRINIDAD will not be the last refuge of scoundrels but the measured, meaningful and sometimes mischievous views of a mixed batch of Trinis with something to say about who we were, are, will and should be.
This is nostalgia as well as wishful thinking. It is yesterday, today and tomorrow. It is us. It is we. We Trinidad.
